children, create, fabric, sew

girl’s pinafore smock top

July 16, 2012

I fell in love with this scrap fabric at John Lewis and knew it had to be a dress for B.  Once again, this pattern is from 101 Great Ways to Sew a Metre.

The ribbon in the back is beautiful and adds extra elegance to an already very sophisticated little girl’s dress.

I love how clean and tidy the sewing is with the lining covering all the messy ends and seams.  (Although it looks as if my sewing could be better on that pic!)

Here she is stiking a pose in her new dress.

The ribbon is so sweet from behind.  I love this finished project!
