vintage baby/lap quilt

June 19, 2012

This quilt has been “almost finished” for months.  I just struggled to decide on the binding.  It’s all done now and I love it!  Simple and fun. Not sure where it will live, but it will bring a smile wherever I’m sure.
It’s made from some vintage scraps I bought in a “lucky bag” from a vintage booth at a craft fair last year.  Except for the binding– that’s from Rowan Westminster Fibers collection, leftover from another quilt.

Machine quilted in pink/yellow thread grid pattern.

This was originally the back but I like it so much, it may become the front.  It’s a quilt that invites you to a picnic I think, or even better, an outdoor nap… perfect on a summer day.
