I’m not going to go into much detail tonight because it’s late and I’m tired. But I am very, very pleased with my (just-finished-two-minutes-ago) Around The Block quilt top! It’s Dena Designs Tea Garden fabric (the pinks of the range) and I’m so excited to get some wadding/batting and backing so I can finish it off completely. I’m not sure which fabric to use for the back yet. But I’m going to try for the first time free motion quilting on the machine.

So happy! Yah!
Thanks to Freshly Pieced for organizing this weekly WIP.

oh its beautiful! I love your fabric choices. Just a teeny bit of advice, tho! Coming from someone who recently ripped all the FMQ stitches out of a baby quilt, practice on a scrap sandwich first before jumping into your amazing quilt! You may have done this already, but I just went for it and the results were ok at best. I couldn’t leave it because some spots were just BAD. Taking the stitches out was a royal pain! I wish you the very best of luck and will check back to see how it went 😀
