What a great week! I started on my Around The Block quilt (pattern by Sweet Jane) in yummy Tea Garden fabrics by Dena Designs. I cut all of my fabric and cleverly placed them on a very pink blanket so you can’t actually see the pinks since they are camouflaged in the photo, but they are beautiful! This will eventually be a quilt for (can you guess!?) my craft/guest/office room.

Since my machine was in the shop, and I am incredibly excitable/impatient, I started the first two blocks by hand.

As already posted, I started and completed a mug rug and my ironing board cover. I also have a few fun fabric tins now in my craft room. I am addicted to Illy coffee which comes in great little tins. So I now know what I’ll be doing with all of my tins!

Best news of all is that my machine is back from its holiday at the repair shop and is ready for a productive week ahead (and my fingers will get a break from hand-stitching needle punctures).
