wip wednesday

March 14, 2012

I’ve made a very healthy start on my Little Apples wonky 9 patch quilt. I have at least 20 blocks finished. I’ve done everything by hand which has taken a lot of work (and tv-watching).
Since starting this project, I’ve decided it will be part of B’s “big girl” room which she’ll probably move into during the summer. The red and turquoise are the colors of her room so it’s a perfect fit. However I’m not in love with the olive green now. I’ll measure my finished blocks, once laid out, and decide if I can remove those that have green in them. I’m still not sure if it will be a bed quilt or just a spare quilt in her room (or for the floor?). I already have plans for her main bed quilt, although you can’t have too many quilts can you?

I will add white sashing when I join the blocks together. I love the print of this fabric pack– again, perfect for a little girl’s room!

Thanks to Freshly Pieced for organizing this wip Wednesday.
