Finally, after apparently six years, I have finished another quilt. When I was unpacking all of my Christmas decorations this past December, I was surprised to see how many were homemade ones. I remembered how much time I used to spend crafting and realized how infrequently I do these days. So I ditched the Christmas decorating efforts, in favor of rediscovering my many stacks of “work in progress” craft projects stored away under the guest bed. In the neatly organized baskets I found a pre cut fabric stash for a “baby boy” quilt. I think it was from when I was pregnant with Orla. I’ve loved sewing this all by hand over many nights and weeks in the last six months. The quilting finish is a hand sewn circle in each square. It has extra wadding for a really warm, heavy feel. I have no idea what any of the fabrics are as they were purchased more than seven years ago.
This one is for Ethan.
